PHILADELPHIA – The ninth-ranked University of Pennsylvania men’s squash team picked up its first home victory of the 2014-15 season, defeating No. 16 Navy, 7-2, Wednesday evening inside Ringe Squash Courts.
The Quakers (4-0) played five freshmen, positioned No. 1-5 on the ladder, and each won their match by a 3-0 score. In order – Marwan Mahmoud, Derek Hsue, Hayes Murphy, Anders Larson, and James Watson took care of their individual opponents, helping lead the Red and Blue to victory. On the season the five first-year players are now a combined 19-1 overall.
