Men's Squash Falls to Harvard, 8-1

Philadelphia, Pa.- The University of Pennsylvaniamen's squash team fell to Harvard, 8-1, on Saturday in the Ringe Squash Courts.

Three matches went to five sets on the day and one more went to four sets. At the No. 1 position, Gilly Lane took Michael Blumberg to five sets (5-9, 9-3, 6-9, 9-4, 9-0) before falling, 3-2. At No. 8, Drew Crockett fell to Todd Ostrow,3-2, in five sets (9-4,3-9, 4-9, 9-5, 9-3). The Quakers lone win on the day came at the No. 9 position, where Will Simonton defeated Ryan Abraham, 3-2 (3-9, 10-8, 1-9, 9-6, 9-6). Colby Emerson was the only other Quaker to take his opponent to more than three sets. He fell to Clark Gertler, 3-1 (7-9, 9-6, 9-7, 9-6) at the No. 7 position.

The Quakers return to action on Sunday, Feb. 6 at 11 a.m. when they host Dartmouth in the Ringe Squash Courts. It is the last home contest for the Quakers on the season.
