Men's Squash Falls to No. 1 Trinity, 0-9

PHILADELPHIA - The No. 6 University of Pennsylvania men's squash team could not keep up as they were blanked, 0-9, by No. 1 Trinity Friday night at Ringe Courts.

The Bantams (8-0) won their 133rd match in the row to continue thelongest winning streak in American sports. The Quakers (6-3) had their five-game winning streak snapped.

"I was pleased with the individual efforts the guys put up," said Head Coach Craig Thorpe-Clark. "They constantly put us under pressure, but we played well."

The Bantams proved why they have won six-consecutive national titles as they cruised to 3-0 victories in every position but the fifth and seventh.

With the match essentially decided after the even positions, senior Jacob Himmelrich got into a gutsy match with Neil Robertson at No. 7. Himmelrich captured the first two sets but Robertson outlasted himto win three in a rowand take the match 3-2 (4-9, 6-9, 9-4, 9-3, 9-4).

Penn returns to Ringe to finish its home slate on Feb. 8 when it takes on Ivy League rival Princeton at 7 p.m.
