Men's Squash Falls to Yale in First Round, 7-2

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Looking for its highest finish at the College Squash Association (CSA) Team Championships in recent years, the University of Pennsylvania men’s squash team lost to Yale, 7-2, in the first round Friday afternoon.

The Bulldogs got out to a 3-0 lead with wins at the Nos. 3, 6 and 9 positions. Only Gilly Lane and Lee Rosen salvaged victories for the Red and Blue, both won in three games. Lane defeated Nick Chirls, while Rosen downed Max Samuel.

However, their efforts were too late as Yale wrapped up the victory with wins at the Nos. 5 and 8 spots.

Penn will now face No. 8 seed Dartmouth, who lost to No. 1 Trinity, in the loser’s bracket, Saturday at noon.
