Men's Squash Fends Off the Diplomats, 7-2

LANCASTER, Pa. – Resting a few regulars in their lineup, the No. 4 ranked University of Pennsylvania men’s squash team, avoided an upset defeating No. 17 Franklin & Marshall, 7-2, Saturday. Penn (7-0) lost at the No. 1 and 2 positions and had two other matches go five games.

The Quakers were in a hole after Spencer Kurn and Parker Justi lost at the top two spots. Graham Bassett, Will Simonton, Brooks Russell, Bobby Dickey and Pierce Cravens all won 3-0. Christopher Thompson and Rahil Shah took their matches to the limit, winning in five games.

Next Saturday, Penn travels to Hartford, Conn. to take on No. 1 Trinity at Noon.
