Men's Squash Handles No. 13 Brown, 9-0

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Bouncing back from a defeat to No. 4 Yale on Saturday, the 10th-ranked University of Pennsylvania men’s squash team defeated No. 13 Brown, 9-0, Sunday afternoon.

Penn (7-5, 2-3 Ivy) had little trouble with the Bears (5-5, 0-4 Ivy) winning all but one individual match, 3-0. In the top position freshman Marwan Mahmoud went to a fourth game before winning, 3-1.

It was four freshman in the top four spots, Mahmoud followed by Derek Hsue, Hayes Murphy, and James Watson.

Junior Augie Frank won in the fifth position, while sophomores Rahil Fazelbhoy and George Lemmon took the sixth and seventh positions.

Winning in the eight spot was junior Tyler Odell, and senior Michael Mutscheller won in the ninth position.

Penn will return to Philadelphia before playing in its final home match of the season against Ivy rival Cornell on Friday, Feb. 6, beginning at 5 p.m. in Ringe Courts.
