PHILADELPHIA The Penn men’s squash team is traveling to Lancaster, Pa. to matchup against Franklin & Marshall Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. The Red and Blue are on a three-match winning streak including victories over Amherst (9-0) and Williams (6-3) last Saturday. The seventh-ranked Quakers post a 5-2 overall record and are 1-2 in the Ivy record.
The host Diplomats are in the No. 16 spot on the CSA poll with a 9-2 overall record with their two losses at the hands of Ivy Leaguers Cornell (9-0) and Princeton (9-0) in Penn’s opening match of the season, Cornell knocked off the Quakers, 8-1.
While Penn has an entire lineup of players ranked in the CSA Top 100, with Mark Froot leading the way at No. 36, the Diplomats place just two (No. 40 Nadaav Tannen and No. 69 Sadiq Madraswala). The match between Froot and Tannen at the No. 1 spot of the ladder will most likely be the biggest challenge for Penn.
