Men's Squash Loses to Harvard, 6-3

PHILADELPHIA – The No. 4-ranked University of Pennsylvania men’s squash team lost to No. 2 Harvard, 6-3, Saturday afternoon at Ringe Courts. Penn (7-3, 3-2 Ivy) had victories at the Nos. 1, 6, and 9 positions, but could not muster anymore wins against the Crimson (5-1, 4-0).

Gilly Lane picked up a quick victory at No. 1 over Siddharth Suchde. Lane won his first game, 9-6 and Suchde had to stop playing in Game 2 due to an injury. Graham Bassett picked up a three-game victory over Garnett Booth at the No. 6 position. Freshman Christopher Thompson had an impressive 3-0 victory over Todd Ostrow at the No. 9 spot. He blanked Ostrow in the first two games and allowed him to score only three points in Game 3.

Penn returns to action Sunday for its final dual meet of the season. The Quakers host No. 7 Dartmouth at 11 a.m. It is also the final home meet for Penn’s seven seniors.
