Men's Squash Prepares for Neighbor Drexel

PHILADELPHIA – After facing tough road tests against the No. 1 and No. 2 ranked teams in back-to-back weekends, the University of Pennsylvania men’s squash team is looking regain the momentum it had built before running into the toughest part of its schedule, with its focus now solely on their neighbor school Drexel.

Penn (4-2, 1-1 Ivy) has only squared off against Drexel twice in varsity competition. Prior to 2011-12, the Dragons competed at the club level. In their two previous matchups, the Quakers have defeated Drexel, 6-3 and 9-0.

The men’s team has seen its co-captains John Dudzik and Jack Maine lead the way for the Quakers, both having 4-2 individual records. Junior Michael Mutscheller alsosports a 4-2 individual record in helping solidify the core of Penn’s ladder.

Drexel (6-7) is coming into the contest against Penn on a three-match winning streak, having defeated Bucknell, Tufts and Middlebury, over the weekend.

The men’s matches will begin at 7 p.m. in Ringe Courts.
