PHILADELPHIA - Coming off the best season of head coach Craig Thorpe-Clark’s tenure at Penn, the Penn men’s squash team has released its schedule for the 2007-08 season. The Quakers look to improve on a season that saw them go 10-4 and earn a No. 5 national ranking.
After the annual alumni match and the Ivy Scrimmage at Yale, the Quakers open the season on the road at conference rival Cornell. They follow that up with a neutral-site match against Western Ontario before returning home.
Penn’s home slate opens December 1 against Yale, followed by a visit from Brown the next day. Franklin and Marshall comes to town on December 5.
The Quakers then face non-conference road tests against Navy, Williams and Amherst before a neutral-site match against Bowdoin.
Trinity comes to the Ringe Courts before the Quakers finish off the regular season with three Ivy League tilts. They will face Princeton at home before traveling to Harvard and Dartmouth.
“We have another exciting year of matches ahead of us,” said Thorpe-Clark. “This year we play some very tough teams on the road and have several important back-to-back matches that will test our competitiveness and fitness. As always, we are looking forward to the full Ivy schedule.”
