Men's Squash Sees Win Streak End at Trinity, 9-0

HARTFORD, Conn. – After starting the season 7-0, the No. 4 ranked University of Pennsylvania men’s squash team fell to No. 1 Trinity, 9-0, Saturday at the Kellner Center. The Bantams (12-0) won all nine matches by a 3-0 score, but Penn (7-1) had nothing to hang their heads about because Trinity boasts the longest win streak in intercollegiate sports at 156 consecutive wins.

At the No. 7 position, freshman Christopher Thompson gave Supreet Singh a run in Game 2. Despite losing the game, Thompson scored five points. Senior Graham Bassett also had a solid showing. He played well in his first and third games against Eduardo Pereira falling 9-3 in Game 1 and 9-4 in Game 3. Lee Rosen scored the most points in any one game by a Penn player. He lost 9-6 to Baset Chaudhry at the No. 2 position.

Penn returns to Ivy League play when they travel to No. 2 Princeton, Wednesdayfor a5 p.m. match.
