Men's Squash Sends Two to Individual Quarterfinals

PHILADELPHIA - The University of Pennsylvania men’s squash team was represented well in the Molloy Cup division, players ranked 33-80 in the country, with seven individuals playing in matches throughout the day Friday.

Two Quakers, sophomore Tyler Odell and freshman Rahil Fazelbhoy, find themselves in championship round of 16 after day one. Odell had a first-round bye followed by a 3-0 victory to advance, while Fazelbhoy won 3-1 and 3-2 on his way to the round. Sophomore Augie Frank won his first-round matchup 3-1, before falling in the second-round.

Penn’s Michael Mutscheller, Liam Quinn and George Lemmon all had first-round bye’s and were unable to advance past the second-round. Not originally scheduled to play, junior Will Michele made his way into the tournament draw due to a late scratch, but was unable to manage in win in the championship or consolation bracket. Frank, Mutscheller, Quinn and Lemmon will all continue play on day two in the consolation bracket.
