Men's Squash Splits With Yale, Bates

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Penn men's squash team went 1-1 on Saturday at Yale, losing to the second-ranked Bulldogs 9-0 but recovering to defeat Bates in a neutral-site match, 9-0.

Seven of Yale's nine wins in the match came in straight games. Dan Greenberg (at No. 2) and Trevor McGuinness (at No. 4) were the only Penn players to gain wins on Saturday, as both of them won their first games before getting swept after that.

Penn rebounded with a 9-0 win over Bates, improving the Quakers' overall record this season to 1-3. Seven of the nine matches were won in straight sets, highlighted by James Clark who relinquished just 12 points overall in winning 11-5, 11-2, 11-5.

Penn returns to action Sunday, facing Brown in another Ivy League match in Providence, R.I.
