Men's Squash Swept by No. 4 Yale

PHILADELPHIA- Penn men's squash fell to 1-3 on the season, after losing 9-0 Saturday to a very talented Yale team at the Ringe Squash Courts. This was the first of two Ivy matches this weekend for the Quakers.

The most exciting and competitive matches against the Bulldogs came in the No. 1, 4 and 7 positions, in which Penn took its opponents into five games. Facing freshman phenom Kenneth Chan, senior Mark Froot won the first two games, but could not sustain as Chan scraped back to win the final three.

Trevor McGuinness also started off strong, taking the first game. He dropped the next two, but battled to send the match to a fifth. Unfortunately, Yale's John Roberts edged the sophomore 11-6 in the final game.

Freshman Zuhaib Mohiuddin could have easily given in as he was faced with a 0-2 deficit, but showed resilience, fighting back to even the score 2-2. In the same fashion as McGuinness, Mohiuddin fell in the last game 11-6.

Penn hopes to rebound tomorrow when they host Brown at 11 a.m. in their final game before the holiday recess. The Quakers do not have another home match until Jan. 27, when they face Princeton.
