Men's Swimming Falls to Princeton and Cornell


PRINCETON - The University of Pennsylvania men's swimming and diving team lost to Princeton and Cornell on Friday night. The Quakers fell to Princeton 198-45, while the Big Red downed Penn 171-72.

Yuchi Zhang highlighted the night for the Red and Blue. He placed first in the 200 yard breastroke at 2:07.20. Teammate Jon Kaufman (2:10.23) took fifth. Devon Carr (1:55.29) took a fifth place finish in the 200 yard butterfly and sixth place in the 500 yard free style with a time of 4:48.03. Pat Maloney (1:57.42) finished sixth in the 200 yard IMand seventh in the 200 yard butterfly at 1:57.07.

In the 3 meter diving, Tyler Markman (262.70) finished sixth and Nick Corsano (220.15) took seventh.

The men are back in action on Tuesday when they host La Salle at 5 p.m. at Sheerr Pool.
