Men's Swimming Splits with Dartmouth and Yale

HANOVER, N.H. – The University of Pennsylvania men’s swimming and diving team defeated Dartmouth and lost to Yale on Saturday. Penn defeated Dartmouth 137 – 106 and fell to the Bulldogs 159 – 84.

The Quakers placed teams in second and third in the 400-yard medley relay. Patrick Gallagher had two second place finishes for the Red and Blue. His finishes came in the 200-yard free with a time of 1:42.94 and the 100-yard free at 47.44. Neville Mitchell (1:53.68) took second in the 200-yard back and Devon Carr (4:40.95) took second as well in the 500-yard free.

Yuchi Zhang picked up Penn’s only victory on the day. Zhang won the 200-yard breast with a time of 2:09.35.

Penn will be in action again on Saturday, Jan. 28 when they travel to Annapolis, Md. to take on Navy at 3:30 p.m.
