HANOVER, N.H. The University of Pennsylvania men’s swimming and diving team defeated Dartmouth and lost to Yale on Saturday. Penn defeated Dartmouth 137 106 and fell to the Bulldogs 159 84.
The Quakers placed teams in second and third in the 400-yard medley relay. Patrick Gallagher had two second place finishes for the Red and Blue. His finishes came in the 200-yard free with a time of 1:42.94 and the 100-yard free at 47.44. Neville Mitchell (1:53.68) took second in the 200-yard back and Devon Carr (4:40.95) took second as well in the 500-yard free.
Yuchi Zhang picked up Penn’s only victory on the day. Zhang won the 200-yard breast with a time of 2:09.35.
Penn will be in action again on Saturday, Jan. 28 when they travel to Annapolis, Md. to take on Navy at 3:30 p.m.
