PHILADELPHIA - The Quakers look to continue its strong swimming in January when the they host Harvard at Sheerr Pool on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
In its last meet the Red and Blue used a strong finish in the final two events to hold off Brown and win 143-137. Helping withstand the late push by the Bears was Brendan McHugh, who swan to three first place finishes on the day.
The sophomore took top honors in the 200 IM, the second to last event in the meet and also finished first in the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke. Senior James Fee also made his presence felt, taking first in the 500 free and touching second in the 200 free. He was also part of the 400 yard free relay team which finished second.
Harvard is currently 3-0 in the Ivies after finishing second to Princeton a season ago. The Crimson are led by freshman Owen Wurzbacher, who took first in the 100 breaststroke and fifth in the 200 breaststroke at the Georgia Invitational recently. Sophomore Niall Janney also has been swimming well, taking a pair of first place finishes against Columbia in the 200 IM and the 200 butterfly.
