Men's Swimming Travels to Harvard

PHILADELPHIA - The Red and Blue have won three straight meets and make the trip to New England this weekend to swim against Harvard in their final Ivy dual meet on the season, Sunday at 11 a.m.

The Quakers are coming off a sweep of both Yale and Dartmouth last weekend. Penn's victory over the Bulldogs came down to the final event, where freshman Rhoads Worster held off the opposition in the final leg of the 400-yard free to clinch victory. Worster also won the 200-yad butterfly and the 200-yard backstroke as Penn totaled nine victories on the day.

Junior Brendan McHugh totaled three individual wins for the Red and Blue while fellow classmate Jeff Cragg swept both diving events with a season high 307.80 points in the 1-meter and 316.60 in the 3-meter.

Harvard enters the weekend with a perfect 5-0 mark in dual meets. The Crimson swim against Brown on Friday and then take on the Quakers two days later. In the team's last meet, Harvard beat Connecticut 182-118, winning seven different events.

Last year Penn lost to the Crimson, 183-117, as the team won six of the meet's 16 events. McHugh was a part of three victories while Cragg took the 1-meter diving event. Junior Brett Gomes also won the 50-yard free with his time of 21.44.
