Men's Tennis Battles Saint Joseph's

PHILADLEPHIA - The Quakers look to continue their perfect run this season when they host the Saint Joseph's Hawks on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

The Red and Blue have won each of its first two matches by a 6-1 margin this year and hope to continue the winning trend against Saint Joseph's. Last year Penn earned a 6-1 victory over the Hawks, winning every match but No. 6 singles.

This year Saint Joseph's comes into the meeting between the teams with a 0-1 record after losing to Navy 6-1 last Saturday. Senior Nick Tuxen provided the lone victory for the Hawks, taking No. 5 singles in five sets.

On Wednesday Penn will rely on trio of sophomores, as well as senior co-captain Adam Schwartz. Second year transfer Eugen Brazdil played at No. 1 singles against Drexel and should be there again, while fellow classmate Phil Law played at No. 1 singles versus Bucknell. Sophomore Jason Lin is also expected to be in the top six, along with Schwartz.
