New Haven, Conn. - The Penn men's tennis tennis had one singles player and two doubles teams advance into the round of 16 at the ITA Northeast Regional at Yale on Saturday.
Junior Phil Law defeated Stephen Greif of Dartmouth 6-1, 6-2 in the round of 64 and moved on to take out Gilbert Wong of Binghamton 6-3, 7-5 in the round of 32. Law will now face Princeton's Matt Siow in the round of 16 on Sunday.
In doubles action both of Penn's doubles teams advanaced on Saturday. The duo of Hicham Laalej and Eugen Brazdil defeated Hemmy/Denny of Farleigh Dickinson, 8-3. They will now face Spindler/Bloom of Princeton in the round of 16 Sunday.
Freshmen Ivan Turudic and Zach Katz defeated the duo of Fomin/Wong from Stonybrook, 8-4 and advance to take on Greif/Roby of Dartmouth in round of 16 .
