PHILADELPHIA - Halfway through the weekend, the Quakers are underway in two men's tennis tournaments. A group of players are in New York at the USTA Intercollegiate at the Billie Jean King Tennis Center while other members of the team are competing at the Big 5 Classic at the Arthur Ashe Tennis Center in Philadelphia.
At the USTA Intercollegiate, Adam Schwartz is undefeated and has advanced to the semifinals of Flight 3. Hicham Laalej, ranked No. 105 in the ITA rankings, won his first match in Flight 1 before falling in the second round to Mississippi's Bram ten Berge, the No. 58-ranked player.
In Philadelphia, Dmitry Bury is undefeated in both singles and doubles through the first day of action. Freshman Jason Lin won both of his matches on Friday as well.
Play at both sites continues on Saturday.
