PHILADELPHIA - The Quakers were unable to stage the upset on Friday, falling to Columbia 5-2, and dropping to 1-6 in the Ivy League this year. The loss marks the fourth straight for Penn and drops the team's record to 11-9 on the season.

At No. 3 the duo of Adam Schwartz and Phil Law also traded points with the Lions, though they managed to come out on top, 8-6.
In singles, Columbia quickly won at the No. 1 and No. 3,by the identical 6-4, 6-2 scores. Ahead 3-0, the Quakers needed a massive comeback in the final four singles matches but were unsuccessful as the Lions sealed the victory with a win at the No. 2 spot.
