WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The University of Pennsylvania men’s tennis team traveled to Virginia this weekend, dropping matches to No. 61 Old Dominion (6-1) and William & Mary (5-2). The Quakers fall to 2-4 this season.

The weekend began with a defeat to the Monarchs on Saturday. The Quakers’ lone win came from Josh Pompan, who notched a 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 win over Michael Weindl at No. 2 singles. Penn also dropped a pair of three-setters at No. 1 and No. 3 singles.

Pompan followed up the win on Saturday with yet another one on Sunday. Once again in the No. 2 slot, Pompan earned a 6-4, 6-3 win over William & Mary's Alec Miller. Matt Nardella picked up the other win for Penn, posting a 6-3, 6-4 triumph over Addison Appleby at No. 3. Freshman Kyle Mautner dropped his second-consecutive three-setter in the top singles position.

The Quakers will be back in action next weekend, when they host the ECAC Division I Men’s Tennis Championship at the Hecht Tennis Center.
