FLUSHING, N.Y. - After seeing their hopes of a third-consecutive ECAC Championship fall Satruday after a loss to Harvard, the Penn men's tennis team rebounded nicely on Sunday, defeating Dartmouth 5-2 to secure a 2-1 record for the event. Sophomore Adam Schwartz posted a perfect 3-0 singles record over the weekend, while junior Justin Fox contributed a 3-0 weekend in doubles play.
"It was good to see just how hard the guys competed in this event," said head coach Nik DeVore. "I was pleased to see how they rebounded after the loss [Saturday]. They guys really came out fired up."
Senior Jason Pinsky and sophomores Alex Vasin and Justin Roth each posted strong 2-1 singles records over the weekend. Pinsky and freshman Marcel Goodman teamed to put together a 2-1 weekend at the #1 doubles spot.
The team will next be in action October 4-7 at the ITA All-American Championship in Tulsa, Okla. Pinsky, ranked #59 in the country, will compete against the rest of the top players in the nation. The ITA Regional October 18-21 will close out the fall season for the Quakers.
