PHILADELPHIA - The Penn men's tennis team looks to continue its perfect run in 2010 when the Red and Blue take on Georgetown Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the Levy Pavilion.
The Quakers are 4-0 this season, and recorded a 4-3 victory over Navy in their last match. Against the Midshipmen, Penn won two of three doubles matches and also took victories at No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 singles to clinch the match. Sophomore Eugen Brazdil and senior Adam Schwartz lost at No. 1 and No. 2 respectively.
Sophomore Phil Law continued his perfect run on the season, winning in No.1 doubles and No. 3 singles to improve to 4-0 in both. Freshman Jason Magnes is also unbeaten in both singles and doubles this year, taking No. 3 doubles and No. 4 singles against Navy. Jason Lin also provided the victory at No. 5 singles and is unbeaten in singles.
Georgetown enters the match with a 4-2 mark on the year, including two straight. The Hoyas beat Bucknell 6-1 and dispatched of Lehigh 5-2 last week. The last time these two foes faced off was during the 2007-08 campaign when the Quakers posted a 4-3 victory at home.
