Men's Tennis Hosts Temple before Spring Break Trip

PHILADELPHIA – After two weeks off from competition, the University of Pennsylvania men’s tennis team is ready to get back into action on Sunday when the Quakers host Temple at 9 a.m. in the Levy Tennis Pavilion. Sunday’s match with the Owls will be the final contest for the Red and Blue before their spring break trip to southern California, where they will play four teams: UCSB (3/11), SDSU (3/12), Cal Poly (3/15), and UC Irvine (3/16).

Penn has not been able to secure a win at home yet this season, after dropping close matches to Buffalo, Marquette, and most recently Illinois St. However, the Quakers have history on their side when it comes to Temple.

Last year, the Red and Blue dominated with a 7-0 win at home and improved to 21-0 all-time in their series with the Owls.

Even though Penn has been without Blaine Willenborg and Ismael Lahlou due to injuries, the Quakers have brought aboard talented freshman like Matt Nardella that will contribute to what hopes to be a 22-0 win streak over the Philadelphia rival.

So far this season, the individual records are as follow.

Kocovic/Nardella 2-4
