Men's Tennis Moves up to 64th in the Nation

PHILADELPHIA - On the merits of their 1-1 record against some tough competition in California, the Penn men's tennis team moved up to 64th in the latest ITA national rankings, released on Tuesday afternoon.

The ranking is the highest for the Quakers during head coach Nik DeVore's tenure with the team. Penn was actually ranked 71st two weeks ago, but fell out of the rankings last week, before jumping back in on Tuesday.

The Red and Blue are one of four Ivy teams currently ranked in the top 75. Cornell is the league's highest ranked team at 47, while Princeton is right behind them at No. 53 and Dartmouth is ranked 71st.

Penn returns to the courts on Friday when they take on 70th ranked St. John's at the National Tennis Center in Flushing N.Y. on Friday at 2 p.m.
