Men's Tennis Wraps up Fall Season in Minnesota

Minneapolis, Minn. – The Gopher Invitational concluded the fall season for the University of Pennsylvania men’s tennis team. Hosted by the University of Minnesota, tournament play began Thursday and continued through Sunday at the Baseline Tennis Center, with each day comprising of four singles flights and two doubles flights. Competing with Penn and the host team were Dartmouth, Princeton, Denver, Western Michigan, and DePaul.

The eight Red and Blue finished the weekend with a combined record of 27-6 in singles and 9-4 in doubles. Penn also had four players finish with undefeated singles records: junior Jeremy Court (4-0), freshman Matt Nardella (4-0), sophomore Blaine Willenborg (3-0), and freshman Thomas Spratt (5-0).

Two Quakers finished with a single loss – senior Zach Katz (3-1) and sophomore Zach Lessen (4-1) – and two finished at five-hundred – senior Nikola Kocovic (2-2) and sophomore Vim De Alwis (2-2).
