Men's Track and Field Compete at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA—The Penn men's track and field team came into the 114th Penn Relays looking to defend their home turf.

Alejandro Shepard finished seventh in his heat of the 3,000 meter steeplechase and was just short of qualifying for NCAAs, with a time of 9:09.91.

The Quakers also competed in the 5,000 meters, with Anguel Tolev finishing 10th at 14:36.92. Luke Grau crossed the line at 14:53.96 to finish 23rd in the race, while Sean McGinley finished in 14:56.13 for place.

Clayton Smith ran a 15:10.46 in the 5,000 meters to finish in 36th, while Chris Baird finished 40th in 15:33.79.

College men's action continues tomorrow at the Penn Relays.
