Men's Track and Field in Seventh after Heptagonals Day 1

ITHACA, N.Y.–Penn men’s track and field is in seventh place after the first of two days of competition at the Heptagonal Indoor Championships hosted by Cornell in Ithaca, N.Y. The Big Red team is currently winning the meet.

Tim Kaijala notched a victory for the Quakers in the 1000 meters preliminaries, crossing the line with a time of 2:28.80 to qualify for finals.

Bryan Scotland qualified for finals in the 800 meters with a time of 1:56.76 to come in sixth place for Penn.
