PHILADELPHIA It will be a short bus ride for all four men’s track and field teams at the Princeton Quad meet on Saturday as the University of Pennsylvania, Villanova and Rutgers will take on the Tigers at Weaver Stadium in Princeton, N.J.
In the second of three straight home meets for Princeton, the Tigers will host the local Philadelphia and New Jersey area teams in a four-team meet to take place over the afternoon on Saturday.
Penn won three event titles in its home meet last weekend at Franklin Field. Both the 400 and 1,600-meter relay teams were victorious as was sophomore Darryll Oliver with an IC4A qualifying time in the 800 meters. In three meets thus far this outdoor season, the Quakers have accumulated 13 IC4A qualifying marks from 11 different athletes in seven different events.
In the last meeting between these teams, also held at Princeton last April, Bryan Scotland won the 800 meters, followed by Darryll Oliver's second-place finish. Penn's 1,600-meter relay team is the defending champion in the event. The Quakers also placed second, third and fourth in the 400 meters, led by Sam Shepherd's finish of 48.20.
Complete results from the meet will be available on PennAthletics.com shortly after its conclusion.
