PHILADELPHIA - Heading into the first meet in February, the University of Pennsylvania men's track and field team will look to improve upon its success from the month of January when they go inside Yale University's Coxe Cage for the two-day Yale Giegengack Invitational on Feb. 6-7.

Friday's events begin at 5 p.m. with the long jump. The first track event starts at 6:40 with the 5,000 meters. The first day, which also features the finals of the high jump and weight throw, concludes with the running of the distance medley relay at 8:15 p.m. Day two will start at 9:30 a.m. with the shot put, while the 60-meter hurdle prelims at 12:15 p.m. are the first track races of the day. Yale's meet concludes at 5:25 p.m. with the 1,600-meter relay.

Nearly 20 schools will be represented at the meet, including three Ivy League teams. Brown will join the Quakers and host Yale.

With the efforts of the 3,200-meter relay team last weekend, Penn now has 15 different athletes who have combined to post IC4A qualifying times for 12 events.

Complete results from the meet will be available on shortly after the conclusion of each day’s events.
