Men's Track Breaks DMR School Record

Notre Dame - Ind. - The University of Pennsylvania men's track team finished 16th in the distance medley relayand established a new school recordat the Alex Wilson Invitational on the campus of Notre Dame.

The quartet of Courtney Jawaorski, Eric Ljungquist, Tim Kaijala and Stephen Hayes crossed the finish line in 9:39.54 which bested the 21 year old record of 9:41.0. The time is one of the top-20 in the nation this season and provisional qualifies the Quakers for the NCAA Championships.

Jaworski and several other Quakers will be back in action at the Alex Wilson Invitational on March 5, while the rest of the Penn squad will compete at the IC4As in Boston, Mass.
