Men's Track Finishes Third at IC4A's

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Penn men's track team had an outstanding meet at this weekend's IC4A Championships, placing third as a team behind the strength of two IC4A champions.

Courtney Jaworski won the 1,500 with a time of 3:44.71, while Kyle Calvo claimed the long jumptitle with a leap of 7.57 meters.

Other All-East performances that helped lift the Quakers to a strong finish included David Whitehurst's second-place run in the 110-meter hurdles (14.12 seconds), and a 2-3 finish in the decathlon by Mike Hall (6,673 points) and Max Westman (6,600 points). In addition, Anthony Abitante finished fourth in the pole vault with a height of 4.95 meters to earn All-East honors.

The Quakers' 48 points were third, behind onlychampion George Mason (59) and Cornell (51).
