PHILADELPHIA – The men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams are staying in state for its meet on Friday evening as the Quakers take on area-rival West Chester at 6 p.m. Having finished their Ivy League regular season, the Quakers have just two road meets standing in-between them and the end of the regular season.

The men’s team is currently 4-5 overall and 3-4 in the EISL. This past weekend the Quakers hosted their only home meet. The Red and Blue dominated Rider (187-105), but fell to Navy (178.5-188.5).

The women’s team is 3-6 overall and 2-5 in the Ivy League following their last home match of the season. The Quakers defeated Rider easily, but was unable to conquer undefeated Navy. Penn was even with the Midshipmen throughout the meet, but could not make up a 15 point deficit – this was the third time this season the Quakers have lost to their opponent by 15 points or less.

Last season both the men’s and women’s team easily out swam the Golden Rams at Sheerr Pool. The men defeated the Rams 180-119, while the women won, 174.5-118.5.
