PHILADELPHIA - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has announced its all-region teams in women's soccer for the 2014 seasons, and University of Pennsylvania juniors Erin Mikolai (midfield) and Kalijah Terilli (goalkeeper) were named third-team All-Region in the Mid-Atlantic.
Mikolai -- who also received second-team All-Ivy honors this fall -- started and played in 15 of Penn's 16 matches this season. She led the Quakers with six assists, including helpers in Ivy League matches against Cornell, Yale and Princeton. The junior midfielder also led the Red and Blue in shots (26) and shots on goal (12).
Terilli --who also receivedhonorable mention All-Ivy recognition -- played in 15 of Penn's 16 matches, as well, starting 11 between the pipes. She made 53 saves on the season and posted a 1.13 goals-against average, collecting three solo shutouts and sharing four others with senior teammate Katherine Myhre. Terilli also was a third-team NSCAA All-Region pick last year, as a sophomore.
Penn finished 8-5-3 this season --winning its last three matches and going unbeaten in its final four --and went 3-3-1 in Ivy League play to finish tied for third in the Ancient Eight.
