Miller's "Hard-Working Bunch" with "Good Chemistry" Ready to Tip Off 2009-2010 Slate

Putting an uneven 2008-2009 campaign that concluded with a sixth-place Ivy League record in the rearview, Penn Men's Basketball is eager to start a new season with a fresh slate. The Quakers, forecasted to finish third in the conference in 2009-2010, are bolstered by the return of 55.5% of their scoring from last year. The club's nucleus contains the previous two Dave Zinkoff Big 5 Rookie of the Year award winners in junior Tyler Bernardini and sophomore co-captain Zack Rosen. Additionally, the Quakers are counting on contributions from a pair of formerly injured starters that have rejoined the roster, co-captain Darren Smith and Andreas Schreiber.

Each week of the upcoming season, the Penn Sports Network will debut new installments of the 'Independence Blue Cross Glen Miller Show,' now entering its second year as a free on-demand video series available exclusively on Throughout the series, the John R. Rockwell Head Coach of Men's Basketball at Penn will share his perspective on his squad with PSN radio play-by-play broadcaster Brian Seltzer C'07 in conversations recapping the club's most recent contests, and previewing the program's next opponents.
