Mincher Wins Ivy League Co-Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA - Following a week that he recorded five extra-base hits and 10 RBIs, Ryan Mincher of the University of Pennsylvania's baseball team was named the Ivy League Co-Player of the Week.

The senior from Glenshaw, Pa. hit in four of five games, going a combined 9-for-21 with two doubles, two triples, a home run and 10 RBIs to help the Quakers to three wins. Mincher had a five-RBI game against Dartmouth in game two of a doubleheader, blasting a three-run home run in the first inning and added a four-RBI performance on Sunday against Harvard, including the game-tying hit with two outs in the ninth to force extra innings.

Mincher shares the award with Zack Belski of Princeton who went 8-for-10 with 12 RBIs.

Lefty Gabe Kleiman was named to the Ivy League's Honor Roll for his six shutout innings against Dartmouth on Saturday. Kleiman allowed just four hits and struck out two to strink his already league-leading ERA.
