Philadelphia Naheem Harris (Brooklyn, N.Y.) continues to pace the Quakers freshman class after having another stellar performance defensively against Bucknell. His five tackles (three solo) and two tackles for a loss earned him Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors for the week ending Oct. 10.
Harris has already logged three games of action during his rookie campaign with the Quakers as a back-up defensive lineman. He leads all freshmen with eight tackles on the season (five solo). Along with the defensive stops, Harris has shown his agility in pass coverage, breaking up one attempt so far this season.
Harris and his Penn teammates are currently 3-1 on the season and 1-0 in the Ivy League. The Quakers resume the Ancient Eight schedule on Oct. 16, welcoming Columbia to Franklin Field for Homecoming.
