Nelson-Henry Earns Big 5 Player of the Week Honors

PHILADELPHIA - The Big 5 has announced its weekly awards for February 8, and University of Pennsylvania senior center Darien Nelson-Henry has been named the men's Player of the Week for the second time this season.

The senior led the Quakers in scoring in both of their wins this weekend. On Friday night, he scored 19 points as Penn defeated Dartmouth, 71-64. One night later, he dropped game highs in both points (18) and rebounds (12) for his sixth double-double this season as the Quakers downed defending Ivy League champion Harvard, 67-57. Nelson-Henry shot a combined 68 percent from the field in the wins (17-25).

For the season, Nelson-Henry leads Penn in points per game (12.3) and rebounds per game (8.1). The Quakers are on the road this weekend, playing at Columbia on Friday night and at Cornell on Saturday night.
