PHILADELPHIA – After two successful events during the football season, Penn Athletics is excited to announce its next Quaker Fan Fest, a free event that will feature food and beverage vendors and live music.
The third Quaker Fan Fest of 2016-17 will be held Tuesday night from 5-7 p.m., in advance of the men’s basketball’s home opener vs. defending NCAA champion Villanova. This Fan Fest will take place in Rockwell Gym, which is located in the Tse Center next to The Palestra.
The final Fan Fest for this year is scheduled for the Princeton men’s basketball game on Tuesday, Feb. 7.
For the Tuesday's Quaker Fan Fest, attendees can expect the following…
*Game-day food and drink
*Game-used gear sale
*Live performance by Penn student performer Kayvon
The Quaker Fan Fests have been created by Penn Athletics to cultivate school spirit and foster community in a way that is safe, enjoyable and meaningful to Penn students and the Penn community. Penn Athletics is collaborating with University partners to create these Fan Fests, ensuring institutional support and shared goals.
By adding this new tradition to the Penn football and men’s basketball game-day experience, Penn Athletics strives to be a national leader in establishing such events by including educational aspects relative to alcohol in college-aged environments that promote understanding and long term wellness.
The 2016-17 Quaker Fan Fests are being brought to you by Coca-Cola, Wahoo’s Tacos and More, and Aramark.
