Penn's 2002 ESPN College GameDay Appearance Up for National Vote!

PHILADELPHIA -- In 2002, Franklin Field was host to another "first" as ESPN's marquee college sports show -- College GameDay -- visited a FCS school for the first time. Legendary coach and analyst Lee Corso got right into the spirit of things, dressing as Penn's founder Ben Franklin to make his customary picks in the show's biggest segment.

This week, ESPN is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Corso's first "Headgear Selection" which was made on October 5, 1996. As part of the celebration, ESPN is asking fans to vote for the most memorable "Headgear Selection" and Corso's homage to our founder is one of the seven chosen from 281 editions!

Corso chose the Quakers on that day, of course, and he was correct -- one of 186 correct choices -- as the Red and Blue steamrolled Harvard, 44-9, en route to a perfect 7-0 Ivy League record and an Ivy League championship!

Cast your vote today and tune in to ESPN College GameDay on Saturday (9 a.m. to Noon) and see who wins!
