Philadelphia - The University of Pennsylvania Athletic Department has announced the 2004-05 Penn Basketball broadcast schedule. Both the men’s and women’s basketball team will be featured on a variety of television and radio stations throughout the season.
The men’s team will kick off the 2004-05 campaign in the Preseason NIT against Quinnipiac which will air on New England Sports Network (NESN) and Fox Sports Net (FSN) New York.
Penn will also have six games on the Comcast Network, CN8, including five Ivy League match-ups. CN8 will air the Quaker’s home game against Princeton, while College Sports Television (CSTV) will pick up the Red and Blue’s match-up with the Tigers in Princeton, N.J. Comcast SportsNet will be producing the Drexel and La Salle games from The Palestra. The Quakers’ game at Brown will air on the YES Network. Penn Basketball returns to its flagship radio station, WXPN - 88.5 FM, for most of its radio broadcasts this season.
The women’s basketball team will play on YES Network against Yale on Jan. 28. Several of their games can be heard live on XPN and www.pennathletics.com
