Penn Closes Out Season With Loss to Princeton

Princeton, N.J. -- The University of Pennsylvania volleyball team ended their season tonight with a 3-0 loss to Princeton. Junior Michelle Kauffman and freshman Laura Black led the way for the Quakers with 10 kills each.

The Quakers (15-11, 7-7 Ivy League) dropped the first game, 30-23, to theTigers(18-7,9-4Ivy League). Pennthen lost the second game, 30-21 and the third game 30-28.

In addition to her 10 kills, Kauffman had eight block assists and Black had 15 digs. Junior Cara Thomason had eight kills and 12 digs in the match and sophomore Meredith Damore led the Red and Blue with 17 digs.

Princeton, who tied for the Ivy Leaguetitle with the victory, was led by junior Lauren Grumet, who had 17 kills and 16 digs.
