PRINCETON, N.J. - The Penn men's squash team defeated Dartmouth, 6-3, Saturday afternoon in the consolation draw of the College Squash Association Team Championships at Princeton. The Quakers will move on to tomorrow's fifth-place game against Western Ontario.
"It was a pretty tough match, it took quite awhile, and we were in trouble for a bit," said Head Coach Craig Thorpe-Clark, who saw his side face a Dartmouth team that gained a point since its 7-2 loss to Penn last Sunday.
Among the winners for Penn wereGilly Lane at No. 1, Lee Rosen at No. 2, and Spencer Kurn at No. 4. Jacob Himmelrich won at No. 7, Will Simonton at No. 8, and Nick Malinowski at No. 9.
Penn will look for a bit of revenge against Western Ontario in the consolation final, as the Quakers lost to UWO on the first day of the season, 6-3. Since then, however, Penn has vaulted UWO in the national rankings, moving up to No. 5.
The rematch will occur at 9 a.m. Sunday morningin theJadwin Gym courts at Princeton.
