PHILADELPHIA Head Coach Bill Wagner has announced the 2006 Penn sprint football schedule. The schedule is highlighted by home games with Princeton, Army and Penn’s first-ever match-up with VMI. The Quakers will also take on Cornell in the Allegiance Bowl in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
The Quakers will tune-up for their campaign with their annual Alumni Game on Sept. 9 at3 p.m. The regular season starts a week later with the Allegiance Bowl in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. against Cornell. Penn will serve as the home team for the second-annual bowl game which benefits Pop Warner organizations in upstate New York.
Penn hits the road on Sept. 29 with a 7 p.m. clash with arch-rival Princeton before hosting the Virginia Military Institute for the first time on Oct. 7 at 1:30 p.m. The Black Knights of Army will travel to Franklin Field on Oct. 14 for a 7 p.m. game before Penn again travels to New York to face Cornell on Oct. 20.
The Quakers will then travel to defending CSFL champion Navy on Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. before returning home for the season finale on Nov. 3 against Princeton at 7 p.m.
