Penn State National Up Next for Men's Track and Field

Meet Schedule

Men's Indoor Postseason Qualifiers

PHILADELPHIA
- A week after freshman Brian Fulton and sophomore James Foreman added to the list of IC4A qualifiers for the University of Pennsylvania men’s track and field team, more Quakers will look to accomplish the same feat when the team heads to State College, Pa., to compete in the Penn State National this weekend.

The two-day meet at Ashenfelter Track begins with the start of the heptathlon events at 12.15p.m. Friday. The long jump, pole vault and weight throw compete Friday night with track events beginning at 5:45 p.m. and concluding at 10 p.m. with the 60-meter dash. The heptathlon concludes Saturday morning with the 1,000 meters at 12:45 p.m. Track events on the final day will start at 10:20 a.m. with the 400 meters and conclude at approximately 6:15 p.m. The high jump (11 a.m.), triple jump (3 p.m.) and shot put (3 p.m.) finals are Saturday afternoon.

More than 40 teams and over 1,000 athletes from colleges around the country are expected to participate in the event. Fourth-ranked Arkansas joins Kentucky (No. 11) and Georgetown (No. 22) as the three ranked teams at the meet.

This year, the Red and Blue boast seven athletes who have already posted IC4A qualifying times coming into the Penn State National. The list also includes three - John Carelli, Fulton and Max Westman - who have surpassed the IC4A benchmark in at least two individual events each.

Complete results from the Penn State National will be available on PennAthletics.com shortly after the conclusion of each day’s events.

Following the meet in State College, Pa., this weekend, the men will be traveling to the Yale Invitational for the weekend of Feb. 6-7. This is a change from the original schedule.
