Penn Women's Swimming Suffers Loss to Harvard, 239-60

Final Results

Cambridge, Mass. - The Penn women's swimming team suffered a 239-60 loss to Harvard at Blodgett Pool on Saturday evening. Sophomore Jessica Aiello earned a victory in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:14.14.

The Red and Blue (3-2, 2-2 Ivy) fell behind early as the Crimson took nine swimming events before Aiello's victory. Kathryn Stores also swam well, earning a third-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle event with a time of 24.72, just 0.66 seconds off the winning pace.

The Penn 400-yard freestyle relay team of Stephanie Colson, Jessica Aiello, Cammie Villarreal and Margot Newcomer finished second in the event with a time of 3:41.15.

The Quakers will take the remainder of 2004 off as they prepare to join the men's team in Miami, Fla. at the Florida International Invitational on Jan. 2, 2005.
