Penn's Four Fall Championship Teams Begin Receiving Rings

PHILADELPHIA - While celebrations on Franklin Field, Rhodes Field and inside The Palestra ended months ago, the student-athletes, coaches and staff of the football, sprint football, volleyball and women's soccer teams were reminded of their accomplishments this week as they began receiving their championship rings.

Designed by the teams in conjunction with Jostens, each ring features Penn's logo prominently on the face of the ring, with the football team changing out the usualy Red and Blue for a "Split P" made up entirely of stones. On the sides of each ring are varying markings highlighting undefeated seasons, championship games won, positions played and other important moments in the seasons.

The football, women's soccer and volleyball teams have begun receiving their rings already while sprint football will receive theirs Saturday night in a ceremony following the men's basketball game against Cornell.
