Pick up your Red & Blue Crew T-shirt pre-game on Nov. 18 at the Alumni House

The Red and the Blue play their first game of the season at The Palestra this Saturday, November 18 and to celebrate all Men's Basketball student season ticket holders are invited to a special pre-game event at the Sweeten Alumni House (3533 Locust Walk) from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Join the Penn Alumni Student Society and the Red & Blue Crew and get the season started right. Free food from Abner's will be provided (while supplies last) and you can also pick up your 2006-07 Red & Blue Crew t-shirt. After you eat your cheesesteak and have your shirt, head over to The Palestra to see the Quakers take on Florida Gulf-Coast. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. and you don't want to be late.

All Penn Basketball fans are also invited to a special event this Thursday, November 16th.

Exploring the Legacy of The Palestra and Philadelphia Sports

Come to hear more about the history of Penn's storied basketball arena and the teams that made it great as well as the superstition surrounding Philadelphia's sports teams.

Featured guests will include:

-Mikaelyn Austin, Penn alum and Writer/Producer of The Palestra: Cathedral of Basketball and The Curse of William Penn (excerpts from documentaries will be shown)

-Hal Gullen, Author of Jumping Through Hoops: Why Penn Wins
